Glaze Materials Workshop

2-DAY IN-PERSON CLASS:

SATURDAY SEPT 12 & 19

Location: my backyard studio near Conway and the 408, Orlando

Clay and glaze: how do they work? What's in a glaze recipe? What's the best approach to making glazes?

This is for the potter who is ready to answer those questions, make their own glazes, or is just downright curious.

We'll be:

-Learning how clay works

-Breaking down glaze materials by category and function

-Making test glazes

-Looking at real pots to observe firing styles and glaze defects

-Learn how to diagnose a glaze problem

And more.

This class is designed to be technical but not overwhelming. My goal is to answer your questions and continue to be a resource for you after the workshop is done.
